Spinal decompression is a non-surgical chiropractic method used to relieve chronic back pain that may be caused by the following conditions:

This technique is performed on a specific spinal decompression table to alleviate pressure in the spine. The patient is secured by a pelvic harness to keep their body in place as the lower half of the table moves to work the spine. Most tables are quite comfortable, and many patients even fall asleep during their session!

The chiropractor controls a computerized system linked to the spinal decompression table sensors. These sensors identify problem areas and any muscle tension in the back. They then apply pressure to these spots while the table repositions the patient into various stretches.
